  • Gobi Desert is the “Hidden Gem” of the South Mongolia which is famous for its harshest environment, extreme temperature and seasonal changes. The origin of ancient seabed, the Gobi has a treasure package of fossilized dinosaur bones and eggs. The Gobi is the main station of the two-humped Bacterian camel which is named by locals “Living Dinosaurs”. The Gobi has a countless natural miracle; one of them is Khermen Tsav, an alluring canyon with red mud rocks. Khermen means “Wall” and Tsav means “Crack”. Khermen Tsav is a breathtaking canyon located hidden in the spirit of the desert. 200 million of years ago Khermen Tsav was a sea. Thousands of years with erosion, this majestic canyon was formed by nature with its mesmerizing red rock formation that stretches for 15 kms. The gorgeous color of the canyon is scenic at sunset.

  • Day 1.

    Nation's Capital - Ulaanbaatar. A professional Gucci World Tours team will pick you up at the “Chinggis Khan” international airport and transfer to the hotels in the downtown. We will start our first day tour around Ulaanbaatar starting from Sukhbaatar square. This square is spirit of the capital and famous for its surroundings including Parliament House, National Opera Theatre, Cultural Palace and House of City Council. Our next move is Zaisan Hill; the cute small hill provides wide open view of the Ulaanbaatar. From there we visit the Natural History Museum which is well-known for its precious findings Dinosaur eggs and bones. After busy afternoon, we will witness fascinating performance of traditional folk songs, throat singing, beautiful melody of horse-headed fiddle, ethnic dances and arty contortion. Overnight in the hotel.

    Day 2.

    Middle Gobi. Drive to the Middle Gobi. On the way we will experience an authentic look of nomads in the steppe; meeting horde of sheep, cattle and horse. We will drive to the Baga Gazriin Chuluu. This 1750m high basalt and granite rock formation is beautifully located in the middle of nowhere. This rock mountain contains ruins of Buddhist meditation temple that belonged to the 17th century. We will drive to the Sum Huh Burd, a tiny island with ruins of ancient temple and loads of birds. Overnight in the ger camp.

    Day 3.

    Bayanzag/Flamming Cliffs. We will start surfing to the Bayanzag known as a Flamming Cliffs to the world. During the journey we will witness the dramatic changes of green steppe landscape to the arid desert including camel herds and herding families. In the afternoon, we will arrive in the ancient red rock creation, Bayanzag formed 60-70 million years ago, famous as Flamming Cliffs named by Roy Andrew Chapman, an American explorer who visited Mongolia in 1920s. The striking red Bayanzag cliffs have dinosaur fossils, eggs and bones all over the place and neighbored by bushy Saxual tree forests. We will do trekking around surrounding areas and overnight in the ger camp.

    Day 4.

    South Gobi/Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park. We will drive to the majestic Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park where we enjoy incredible “Yol Valley”. The valley is the unusual narrow canyon of a river that flows through the Zuun Saikhan Mountain. The sheer rock walls stand 200m and the canyon has stunning green meadows with thick glacier layer that is deeply set between the walls. We can trek along the canyon and may have an opportunity to glimpse rarely found wild sheep Argali, mountain goat Ibex and Yol Lammergeier. Overnight in the ger camp.

    Day 5.

    South Gobi/Khongoriin Els sand dunes. We will continue our journey to the enormous sand dunes called Khongoriin Els that stretch for an extraordinary 180 kms, sometimes as wide as 7-20km. The dunes lie on the northern part of beautifully formed mountain range Servei and Zuulun. The sound of masses of wind-blown sand can be heard from the long distance. This sound is so melodic so 200m high sand dunes called as “Singing Dunes”. There is an oasis called Khongor river with stunning greenery in the summer. Here we have an opportunity to ride two humped Bacterian camel named by locals “Living Dinosaurs”. Overnight at the ger camp.

    Day 6.

    Zuulun/Sevree/Nemegt Mountains. We will start driving through the Khongoriin Els dunes, a soft ribbon of sand that lies in front of the Servei and Zuulun mountain. Our journey passes by nomads' village Servei and drive to the direction of Khermen Tsav. Afternoon ride will show us nowhere to be found desert panorama, arid land vegetation and wild antelopes. We will drive to the west where the place out of civilization is. Overnight the in the tent.

    Day 7.

    Khermen Tsav/Kingdom of Dinosaurs. Today is a day to explore Kingdom of Dinosaurs: Khermen Tsav. On the way, we will spot unbelievable desert scenery like moon surface and Naran daats, small spring on the top of the hill. We will arrive in the Khermen Tsav so called Kingdom of Dinosaurs an alluring red looking canyon found deep in the desert that stretches for 15-20 km. 65-250 million years ago Khermen Tsav was a ocean bed. After dried out, millions of years wind and water erosion formed this majestic looking canyon with moon surface shapes and many precious findings of Dinosaurs' eggs, bones and fossils. The red colors in the sunset brings you feel like you are on the moon surface. Trekking along the canyon and feel the spirits and you may have a chance to see naturally found Dinosaurs fossils on the surface. Overnight in a tent in the canyon.

    Day 8.

    Ikh Bogd Mountain. Today, we will explore lost part of the liveless desert; arid land plants, empty open universe and changing landscape from desert to steppe. More travel to the north, we will see camel breeders' and sheep herdsmen families. We will drive towards to the striking looking legendry Ikh Bogd aka Great Holy Mountain with a height of 3957m. Overnight in a tent on the bank of Tuin River.

    Day 9.

    Shargaljuut hot spring/Bayankhongor. We will start driving to the province capital Bayankhongor, today is the day to explore exquisite looking green mountains, meadows and valleys with many hordes of yaks, sheep, cattle and horse. Shargaljuut is the large mineral hot springs that is located on the bank of Shargaljuut river (2000m). The hot spring has more than 300 mineral water spots with a temperature of +45 to 96 degrees Celsius. Many years, Mongolians use this hot spring for medical purposes. There are different kinds of hot springs for every organs such as liver, heart, kidney, eyes, ears, tooth, navels and boobs. Overnight in the tent near the hot spring.

    Day 10.

    Khangai region/ Khujirt hot spring. We will drive to the beautiful Khangai mountain range in the north east. We will drive through the steppe landscape with thousands of years of story telling tombstone and graveyards. In the afternoon, we will visit Khujirt resort which is situated on the bank of Khujirt river at 1758m above the sea level. The Khujirt resort is famous for its therapeutic magic for kidneys, joints and various traumas among Mongolians. The temperature varies from +40 to 55 degrees Celsius. There is a wonderful story about deer that related to the magic water. Relax in the ger camp.

    Day 11.

    Orkhon Waterfall/Kharkhorin. We will start to discover a land of Mongolian ancient khans and aristocrats: Orkhon river and its valley, the valley contains mystery of Mongolian history. In the afternoon, we will visit the picturesque Orkhon waterfall which is situated in the Orkhon river, that flows 1120km; the longest river in Mongolia. The local name of the waterfall is Ulaan Tsutgalan and the height is 24m, waterfall was formed by a unique combination of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes about 20 000 years ago. The water level of the waterfall depends on the rainfall. Late afternoon driving to Kharkhorin. Overnight in the camp.

    Day 12.

    Kharkhorin/Erdenezuu Monastery. We will have a full day tour around Kharkhorin; an ancient Capital of Great Mongolian Empire and main treasure of Mongolian Buddhism, Erdenezuu Monastery. Kharkhorin was established in 1220. Kharkhorin played significant role in Mongolian history and was a capital city of Mongolian Great Empire until Khubilai Khaan, a grandson of Chinggis Khaan moved the capital to Beijing of Yuan Dynasty. We will see the 800 years old worshipping Turtle Rock near the temple. Erdenezuu Monastery – the first Buddhist monastery was founded by Avtai Sain Khaan, a descendant of Chinggis Khaan, on the ruins of Kharkhorin in 1586. The monastery is surrounded by beautiful looking white walls with 108 stupas. For centuries it was a spiritual and intellectual centre of Mongolia with an extraordinary collection of Buddhist paintings, priceless religious objects, special dresses for Tsama religious dance and excellently made Buddhist iconography. Overnight in the ger camp.

    Day 13.

    Bayangobi/Ruins of Uvgun Monastery. We will drive to the Bayangobi. It is a unique place with many different forms of natural landscape; combination of a Gobi sand dunes, forests and rocky mountain. We will visit Erdene Khambyn Khuree which is 20 kms drive from the camp. The monastery is located in the majestic looking Khugnu Khaan Mountain. Enlightened Bogd Gegeen Zanabazar, a religious leader, philosopher, artist and sculptor was founded these Uvgun and Zaluu temples for his religious teacher. The soldiers of Oirad nobleman Galdan boshigt destroyed the monasteries and assassinated the monks in 1688. Overnight in the ger camp.

    Day 14.

    Hustai National Park/ Ulaanbaatar. We will drive to the Hustai National Park. The park lies in the foothills of southern Khentii mountain range and it is the place where you can see wild horse called Takhi known as Przewalski horse to the world. The wild horses survive in nature by themselves because they have been reintroduced successfully to their homeland after 40 years of extinction. Currently, the number of Takhi has already reached more than 170. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Overnight and relax in the hotel.

    Day 15.

    Ulaanbaatar. We will start our tour from the Gandan Monastery a heart of Mongolian yellow head Buddhism. We will experience the sense of Buddhism in Mongolia and see the outstanding and impressive 24m golden plated statue of Buddha; Megjid Janraiseg. This monastery is the largest and most important monastery of Mongolia with 500 monks. We will visit to the Bogd Khaan Palace Museum, the palace known as the Green Palace. The palace was built in 1903 dedicated to the 8th Bogd Gegeen, the head of lamaist religion and last khan of Mongolia. Amazing bronze castings, silk paintings, paper icons, mineral paintings, god statues made by Zanabazar and his students is the main attraction of this Palace. The rest of day is for you. Overnight and relax in the hotel.

    Day 16.

    Departure. We will end our unforgettable journey by transferring to the “Chinggis Khaan” International Airport with professional Gucci World Tours Team.
